Barnard PTA is proud announce that we will be teaming up with New Rochelle YMCA and offering after school programming at Barnard! The program will run five days a week (school days) from 3-6pm.
Fee Schedule & Registration Information
$80 annual New Rochelle YMCA non-refundable youth membership is required to enroll each child and is due at registration. Payments received after the 5th of the month will be charged a $20.00 late fee.
Monthly Fee per child:
5 day program – $255.00
All payments, either credit card or EFT, are processed on the 1st of the month.
During New Rochelle school system half days, children enrolled in the Afterschool Program may attend from 11:30am to 6:30pm for an additional fee. Cost is $30 per 1/2 day per child.
Please have all paperwork filled out prior to enrolling children in the program. Paperwork is available by visiting the New Rochelle YMCA or emailing email@example.com

*** Must have a copy of the most recent medical form signed by the child’s doctor.
The YMCA does not provide transportation; this must be arranged through the school district.
The specific activities associated with the various curriculum categories generally take place in one or several of the following contexts, each of which is balanced throughout the day or week:
The child or youth has the option of choosing from among several activities, some relatively unstructured and others that are staff-designed learning centers.
Small Group or Individual Activities
The activities available can be done either in small groups or alone. They may be initiated by the counselors with the expectation that all children will work on the activity (e.g. homework or silent reading), or initiated by the children themselves.
Time is set aside in the schedule for children or youth to begin or return to a long term project needing certain space, materials, tools, or leadership.
Activities designed for large group, led by Y staff include group games to promote physical activity.
Indoors or Outdoors
All of the contexts and activities above are presented or done in both outdoor and indoor environment.
A nutritious snack, which is planned to meet a child’s nutritional requirement, is served each day.
Half Day Programs
Half Day Programs are available throughout the year for an additional $30 per day. These programs must be pre-registered one week in advance.
Holiday and Vacation Day programs are available.
Holiday Vacation Camp
$60 per day; 8am-6pm
Advanced registration required
$30 per ½ day (11:30-6:30pm)

As the 2016-17 school comes to an end we the PTA Executive Board would like to thank all of you for your support and volunteering in our events.

Funding toward all school field trips
Fun family events such as our Halloween party, 3 Movie Nights, Bingo Night, Dad’s/Guardians Breakfast, Sports Night, Valentine’s Day Party, Book Fair, and Carnival…to name a few!
Contributing funds to two new wonderful Barnard Programs: Barnard READS and the Barnard Lending Library
Successfully organizing three new donation drives: a Coat drive, a Book Drive and a Craft/Art Supplies Drive.
Donating bag to all Barnard students for the 1st Annual Ken Levy Read-A-Thon at Barnard
Available merchandise such as bows, sweatshirts, snack bags and water bottles to show our BATS Spirit!
Watermelon slices available to all Barnard students, staff and families during Field Day
A Staff Breakfast showing our appreciation to our hard-working teachers ,staff and administration
A sit-down Staff luncheon catered by Posto 22 during Staff Appreciation Week
Graduation Shirts and Yearbooks provided to every graduating student
Funding for the 2nd Grade picnic
Graduation dessert for each student in the 2nd grade
Our own Barnard Apple Cidering Press to enhance school curriculum and further utilize our wonderful Amy’s Greenhouse
Providing a sense of community within our school !
